Of COURSE it’s scary. But you remember you’re made in the image of God, right? That you’re a carrier of His presence? And so why would your life be destined for anything BUT absolutely everything He’s calling you to and desires for you?
But the truth of the matter is that you're a square peg trying to fit into in a round hole and the more you try and force yourself into something which doesn't fit you, the more you're going to blunt your edges.
I’m not here to judge or to point the finger at anyone in particular but to put it plainly, we need more Christian leaders. More women who are AMAZING at what they do and also aren't afraid to say they love Jesus while they're doing it.
I, for one am here. Shaking. Shaking, with my hand up saying “Here am I! Send me.”
And so are you.
Otherwise you wouldn’t still be reading. You wouldn’t still be doing. You’d be in ‘nice idea’ or ‘one day’ territory playing it safe with something else. And no one would blame you for that because it’s not like shaking, smoke and daily coming face to face with your humanness is an easy call. But it’s one you know you have to answer.
But you know what they say. “There’s no such thing as a free lunch.” Because although my noodles and Brene sound like freedom, it hasn’t come without a cost. You just have to decide how much you want it.
Because #truthtime, you truly need to be more urgent about the stirring of the Holy Spirit moving you into action than you do about someone telling you that the cart closes tomorrow. Can we, hand on heart, say that we are? Are we more compelled by the urgency of man than we are that of God?
